Prices: How Much Your Website May CostFor a free estimate, complete our Questionnaire In Small Websites, Great Results (2004) Doug Addison writes, "A 10 page site might cost anywhere from $500 to $1,500. Website setup and a single-page site might cost you $200 to $500." We find that's fairly accurate. We offer three different kinds of web sites:
Professional's Web Site Starter Package This package is for the professional: consultant, lawyer, accountant, therapist -- anyone who wants a basic, information web site. This web site, with many customizable features, is priced at an affordable $450. For detailed specifications and links to examples, email us. Nonprofit and Small Business Web Site Starter Package This package is for small organizations that want to establish an intial web presence that will allow them to build upon over time. It's base price is $1,450. The package includes the option of accepting payments or donations online with a credit card. For detailed specifications and links to examples, email us. Custom Design Websites Custom design websites are often, but not always, the most expensive. They require a detailed review in order to know, in advance, how much it will cost. Custom designs for a medium size site of 20 - 25 pages will be in the neighborhood of $3,000 - $5,000. Every business wants to know, "How much will it cost?" We've created sites that cost as little as $300 or as much as $100,000. We can't give you a firm answer about your custom website until we do a careful assessment of your site requirements. Much depends on what you need. For instance. If you want to sell one item it would cost no more than $200 to get it up and running on an existing site using a service like Paypal. But if you need a shopping cart that will accept a dozen or more items and integrate shipping costs from UPS, it will likely cost upwards of $1,200 to start up (including all costs, not just ours), depending on the number of items you sell and whether your cart needs to integrate with a database. Screens or Pages To communicate clearly, we divide your web message into chewable bites. The average web surfer is impatient waiting for long downloads. Depending on the size of your business and the information you have to communicate, the number of screens will vary. The topic of each page varies with the needs and concerns of your company. While every website we design has a home or welcome page, other pages often include: Company Information, Product Information, News, Articles, Newsletter, an Order Form, and for medium or large sites, a Site Map. We work with you to help you determine how many pages you need. Custom Graphics We use your company's existing graphic images whenever possible. Affinity Web Design will scan and adapt them for use to design a custom banner for your web page. The more graphic images you already have available, the less your site will cost. If you do not already have designs with which you are happy, we can design and create graphic images for you for a modest charge. Site Navigation Links guide the visitor through your site. These basic links in many sites appear at the top and the bottom margins. On more complicated sites we place buttons on the side margin. There is no additional cost entailed in having mouse-over graphics. Drop-down menus are inexpensive to add. Advertising Your Web Presence Plan to advertise your site. Having a web presence is one thing, being sure people find you is another. You will want to include your site address, or URL, in all of your printed materials. Find out more about our Search Engine Optimization packages. Updates Our websites include free updating — text changes and price changes — for every site during the first six months after we have installed it. Virtual Stores We are prepared to set up and install one of several Virtual Store software packages. This service is billable on an hourly basis in addition to the cost of the software. Additional, non-standard Items A wide range of specialized features are available for your site. Mouse-over graphics are available for all sites at the lowest available cost. Javascript programming, databases, unique graphics, pages above the standard number, are all available for a reasonable hourly fee. Hourly Fees Our hourly rates are substantially less than industry standards. Different rates apply to different tasks and our rates range from $50 per hour to $125 per hour. We are pleased to offer not-for-profit clients a significant reduction in these rates as part of our community service. Contracts All of our work is done only under a signed agreement. We offer one hour of free consulting to assess your needs. After that we will, at no cost, make a written proposal to do the work for your site. (Proposals for complex sites may require billable consulting hours to develop a detailed proposal and estimate.)
There is no fee for a phone consultation!
